Advantages of constructing Multi-Storied Pre-Engineered Buildings

Pre-Engineered steel buildings are really popular in the commercial sector due to the client-related benefits that they offer including the ability to provide column-free floor spans, circulation space, faster and efficient construction process and the economical benefits they provide by being recyclable. A multi storied PEB is an added boon as one can achieve same results at a much lower cost and generate a much desired ROI in record time.

Here we are going to discuss a few advantages of constructing a multi-storied Pre-Engineered steel building.

1. Shorter timeline of construction in PEB

Pre-Engineered steel building projects just require assembling on the construction site with all the other work completed in the manufacturing unit. Therefore they are completed in a short period which ensures a high rate Rate Of Interest (ROI).

The same project that might take about a year to be completed in civil construction can get over within seven to eight months if one opts for a Pre-Engineered building.

2. PEB provides a more usable area

The span width in PEB structures is more which means they provide a more usable area. The slab width in PEB is also lesser than that in civil structures and thus they also provide a more utilizable area in terms of height.

3. PEBs can have concrete-like wall finish

For a concrete-like look from the outside one can use ACC blocks which are lightweight and can be installed on the walls with the steel columns or rafters of the Pre-Engineered buildings. They not only give the building a civil building finish from outside which increases its aesthetic value but also makes the construction process much faster and lighter.

4. Steel buildings come with a Green building certificate

Steel buildings are considered Green buildings as steel is 100% recyclable without the loss of quality. This quality of being able to be recycled several times makes PEB structures really eco-friendly and economically profitable. Whenever we go for the construction of a Pre-Engineered steel building we get a Green building certificate. This makes them not only beneficial for nature but also gives us an advantage in terms of marketing.

5. PEBs are great investments

Pre-Engineered Buildings are a great form of investment for the future. Moreover, steel scrap can be converted into high-value steels by using appropriate methods of processing. Even thirty or forty years down the line if we choose to discontinue using a PEB and dismantle it, the entire building will have great scrap value and will help us to redeem a lot of our initial investment. We can recover almost 60% of our investment even on dismantling our PEB structure. Whereas, in civil building structures we are left with no mode to redeem our investment if we decide to discontinue using the building or dismantle it.

6. Pre-Engineered buildings are easy to dismantle and shift

PEB structures are assembled on the construction site with the help of nuts and bolts and therefore they are easy to dismantle and shift. If for any reason we decide to shift the steel PEB to another site it can easily be done as the parts are lightweight and convenient to dismantle.
